3rd National Delegates Conference Ends in Accra!

The 3rd National Delegates Conference for NSBE-Ghana dubbed NDC ‘09 ended on Saturday, September 29, 2009. The conference brought together for the first time 46 chapter leaders from all chapters. Two PCI chapters were represented.

Opening the conference, the Executive Secretary of the National Executive Council (NEC) of NSBE-Ghana, Mr. Imoro Abdulai was full of praise for the local organizing committee of the conference (Accra Polytechnic Chapter). He further urged all delegates to brace themselves for a long day of discussions and insightful planning for the new NSBE GHANA year.

NDC ’09 started with chapter reports from all chapters. Chapter presidents delivered presentations on key areas such as Membership, Programs, Funding, major challenges and successes and their overwhelming vision for their chapters.

Maker Faire Africa 2009 - NSBE Accra Poly Chapter- Best Inventors in Africa!

The National Society of Black Engineers - NSBE –Accra Polytechnic Chapter was awarded the best inventors in Africa at the just ended three day Maker Faire Africa (MFA)' conference.

Maker Faire Africa (MFA), a celebration of African ingenuity, innovation and invention, took place on August 14-16 at the AITI Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT in Ghana's capital, Accra.

NSBE –Accra Poly Chapter built an FM Station. The FM STATION which was built by three NSBE members was made up of Mixer, Stereo encoder, an Antenna (FM Broadcasting), Voltage Standing wave Ratio (VSWR) Meter, 150W Fm Exciter (Transmitter) and 50omhs coaxial cable. Other items presented include solar power inverter Electronic Locker and power inverter. The Fm station can cover about 30-35Km.

NSBE UMaT Chapter Welcomes Freshers!

The University of Mines And Technology (UMaT) Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) has organised an orientation programme for both fresh and continuous students.

With the help of audio visual aids, members of the Chapter Executive Board (C.E.B) delivered presentations on the History and Mission of NSBE. Additionally, the students were also educated on the core values and goals of NSBE-Ghana.
